L\u2019association Mayaa Nepal<\/strong> a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9e en 2011 par deux amis : Nicole Sicard<\/strong> et Sarbendra Pachhai<\/strong>, afin d\u2019offrir une enfance et un avenir digne de ce nom aux enfants travaillant ou errant dans les bidonvilles de Katmandou, au N\u00e9pal.<\/p>\n

L\u2019id\u00e9e de d\u00e9part, \u00e9tait de prendre en charge la scolarit\u00e9, les uniformes, les fournitures et livres scolaires, et de convaincre ainsi les familles, que l\u2019\u00e9cole \u00e9tait une chance et non un fardeau pour leur budget.<\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s ce premier succ\u00e8s, Mayaa N\u00e9pal<\/strong> a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d\u2019ouvrir deux garderies pour s\u2019occuper des plus jeunes, et permettre aux fr\u00e8res et s\u0153urs plus \u00e2g\u00e9s de poursuivre leur scolarit\u00e9 sans contraintes. Nos garderies accueillent trente jeunes enfants \u00e2g\u00e9s de 18 mois a 3 ans, qui grandissent dans un environnement propre et s\u00e9curis\u00e9 et re\u00e7oivent un repas quotidien \u00e9quilibr\u00e9, garantie d\u2019un bon d\u00e9veloppement de leurs facult\u00e9s futures.<\/p>\n

D\u2019autres initiatives ont suivi au gr\u00e9 des besoins, comme la cr\u00e9ation d\u2019une
biblioth\u00e8que, d\u2019une cantine, d\u2019une salle informatique, et l\u2019ouverture d\u2019un dispensaire permettant de suivre la sant\u00e9 de nos \u00e9l\u00e8ves, gage d\u2019un meilleur apprentissage. Tout ceci contribue \u00e0 offrir aux enfants des bidonvilles \u00e0 la fois des possibilit\u00e9s d\u2019apprentissage, de d\u00e9veloppement personnel et un environnement stimulant.<\/p>\n

Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9 et \u00e0 l\u2019engagement de la communaut\u00e9, Mayaa Nepal<\/strong> continue \u00e0 faire une r\u00e9elle diff\u00e9rence dans la vie de ces enfants

Au fil du temps, l\u2019\u00e9quipe de Mayaa Nepal<\/strong> s\u2019est renforc\u00e9e, ce qui a permis d\u2019\u00e9tendre les
actions et les services propos\u00e9s. En une dizaine d\u2019ann\u00e9es le nombre d\u2019enfants et de famille suivies par l\u2019association a tripl\u00e9 pour s\u2019\u00e9tablir \u00e0 pr\u00e8s de 300 enfants. 15 jeunes sont actuellement en \u00e9tudes sup\u00e9rieures. L\u2019une d\u2019elle a m\u00eame \u00e9t\u00e9 accept\u00e9e dans une universit\u00e9 japonaise. Certains travaillent : citons le cas de Nikita qui travaille dans la finance, ou de Santoshi qui est enseignante\u2026 quelle fiert\u00e9 !<\/p>\n

Mayaa Hong Kong<\/strong> a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9e en 2016, initialement pour collecter des fonds en faveur du Nepal. Sachant que 20 % de la population Hong Kongaise vit sous le seuil de pauvret\u00e9, Mayaa Hong Kong<\/strong> a choisi d\u2019apporter aussi son soutien \u00e0 des \u00e9l\u00e8ves locaux dont les familles sont en tr\u00e8s grande pr\u00e9carit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Aujourd\u2019hui, Mayaa Hong Kong<\/strong> est reconnue comme une ONG officielle, b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiant d\u2019une exon\u00e9ration fiscale au titre du chapitre 112-88 de la l\u00e9gislation fiscale.<\/p>\n

Mayaa France<\/strong> a ensuite d\u00e9marr\u00e9 en 2018, dans le but de r\u00e9colter des fonds. Mayaa <\/strong>France<\/strong> est \u00e9galement reconnu comme association d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat g\u00e9n\u00e9ral avec les b\u00e9n\u00e9fices fiscaux que ce statut comporte pour les donateurs.<\/p>\n

Ainsi, Mayaa est devenu mayaa.world<\/strong> pour refl\u00e9ter la port\u00e9e mondiale.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Mayaa<\/strong> souhaite rester une ONG \u00e0 taille humaine, et g\u00e9r\u00e9e uniquement par des
b\u00e9n\u00e9voles, afin que 100% de l\u2019argent collect\u00e9e b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie \u00e0 ceux qui en ont besoin.<\/p>\n

Seul le personnel au N\u00e9pal en charge du suivi des familles, touche un salaire. Nous voulons utiliser les fonds avec prudence afin de garantir notre capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 accompagner les \u00e9tudiants que nous parrainons au cours des prochaines ann\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

Nicole est n\u00e9e en France, mais elle vit \u00e0 Hong Kong depuis 50 ans.
Depuis 50 ans, elle vit et travaille comme enseignante au sein de la communaut\u00e9 locale, Elle est convaincue que seule l’\u00e9ducation peut am\u00e9liorer les chances des gens dans la vie.<\/p>\n

Elle a re\u00e7u de nombreuses r\u00e9compenses pour son travail d\u00e9vou\u00e9 en faveur des plus d\u00e9munis.<\/p>\n
