Our Artists

Costel Pascu

Costel is a jazz pianist, band leader, arranger and accompanist who has performed at some of the top entertainment venues in Hong Kong, Montreal, and the UAE.

In Hong Kong, he regularly performs at some of the city’s most prestigious and stylish venues, including Sevva, China Club, The Ritz-Carlton, Rosewood, and Soho House. He was also a music director of world-class music shows for leading cruise operators such as Princess and Carnival.

Classically trained as a child in Romania, Costel fell in love with jazz and funk during his teenage years and later found his true home in Hong Kong, where his talent and passion continue to shine on the city’s vibrant music scene.

Julius Sarino Bernales

Julius Sarino Bernales is a professional musician with over 25 years of stage experience. A talented double bassist, bassist, and electric guitarist, he is also a singer and a passionate jazz performer. Originally from the Philippines, Julius has played at some of the most prestigious venues in Hong Kong, Macao, and Tokyo, including the Conrad Hotel, JW Marriott, China Rouge, Foxglove, and Blue Note Tokyo, where he performed alongside Joyce Cheung, Poppy Ajudha, and Nate Wong.

A former music director and band leader, Julius combines technical expertise with artistic flair to deliver performances that are always vibrant and refined.

The Elodie Trio

Although originally an English teacher, it is music that truly moves Jimmy, in particular, the bass and double bass. He is a regular performer in the intimate and jazzy scenes of Hong Kong, such as Salon 10. For several years, he has been collaborating with the group Cafe 852, specializing in Argentine tango and gypsy music.

For Mayaa Concert this year, he will be accompanied by Japanese pianist Toshi Horiguchi and Hong Kong singer Elodie LEE. This trio will take us on a journey through the classics of cinema, including Charlie Chaplin’s “Modern Times” with the timeless song “Smile,” as well as “The Sound of Music,” from which the beloved song “My Favorite Things” is derived.

Quartet Perrin

Laurent Perrin is Assistant Principal Cello with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta orchestra and teaches at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, The Chinese University and The Baptist University. He is a founding member of the RTHK String Quartet and RTHK Chamber Soloists.

Mei Ling Perrin plays piano and is trained as a soprano. She is a member of the HK Philharmonic Chorus and had sung in opera productions with Opera HK as a chorus member.

Laetitia and Guillaume are in Première in LFI. Laetitia plays piano and cajon drum as well as loves exploring with all sorts of percussion instruments. Guillaume plays the violin and ukelele. On weekends, the family would have jamming sessions, to have fun with music of different genres from pop to classical.

Matthieu SACHOT

Matthieu, born in 1978 and a former soloist of Lyon Cathedral, is a classically trained tenor with international experience in baroque, sacred, and contemporary repertoire. To him, music is much more than performance — it’s a best friend, a source of courage, a universal language, and a bridge between souls.

After training with vocal masters such as Cécile de Boever, Leyna Gabriele, and Sherman Lowe, he served as cantor at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York (2001–2006), performing under acclaimed conductors at venues including Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center.

Now based in Asia (Tokyo since 2006, Hong Kong since 2013), Matthieu continues to explore and share both classical masterpieces and modern popular songs on international stages. He’s performed with groups like Tallis Vocalis and the Little Singers of Tokyo in venues such as Suntory Hall and the HK Cultural Centre.

Driven by a strong sense of purpose, Matthieu regularly supports charities such as Doctors of the World, Pour un Sourire d’Enfant, and Mayaa — using the power of music to give voice to those in need.

Lolo

Londiwe Ngubeni, known by her stage name MsLolo, is a South African-born singer, actress, and model who has made significant strides in Hong Kong’s entertainment scene. Born into a large Christian family in Durban, South Africa, MsLolo’s passion for music was nurtured from an early age. Her career took a pivotal turn in 2008 when she was cast as Rafiki in Hong Kong Disneyland’s “Festival of the Lion King” show, prompting her relocation to Hong Kong.

After her tenure at Disneyland, MsLolo embarked on a solo music career in 2017, focusing on Afrobeat—a genre that blends West African musical styles with jazz, funk, and soul influences. Recognizing a growing appreciation for Afrobeat in Hong Kong, she dedicated herself to introducing this vibrant genre to a broader audience. Her efforts culminated in the release of her debut album, “A Different Breed,” in late 2021, featuring ten Afrobeat tracks infused with Asian influences.
